Load Balancing

Load Balancing Advanced (LBA)

Build highly scalable systems that are not tied to the performance limits of a particular server with Cloudn Load Balancing Advanced (LBA). Cloudn LBA effectively distributes high-volume web traffic across multiple virtual servers, and supports an Amazon AWS compatible API.

Automatic Scale-Out
LBA Functions
Rich API

Cloudn LBA balances the load of web application traffic flowing from the Internet to the virtual server. A host name is automatically issued to every generated LBA.

Cloudn LBA automatically scales in and out of each zone based on the application traffic load. This creates a very flexible system.

DNS round robin is used for traffic distribution across all zones.

Load Balancer

Policy

  • A load balancer is created in a specified zone and application traffic (HTTP and HTTPS) is distributed to the registered Cloudn virtual server.

Distribution Method

  • Fewest connections.

Health Check

Policy

  • A virtual server will be excluded from the load balancer distribution destination if its response is not normal.
  • Continuous health checks are performed. Excluded virtual servers will automatically be added to the load balancing destination when the response returns to normal.
  • Health check settings can be configured.

Distribution Method

  • HTTP/HTTPS protocol.
  • Health is judged based on the type of HTTP response (ex: 200 success response) on accessing a particular URL.

Interval

  • Set by user.

Interface

  • API

Notes:

  • A host name is automatically issued to every generated LBA.
  • Health check intervals can be configured in seconds.
  • User interface is only available via API.

The Amazon AWS compatible API enables you to configure the load balancer to automatically launch in specific zones and control other settings.
